As a result of heavy rainfall, a multi-agency flood group has been meeting during the night to monitor water levels at the River Tyne in Haddington and the Biel Water at West Barns.
Sandbags were deployed earlier as a precautionary measure close to the Nungate Bridge in Haddington following the issuing of a flood warning by SEPA.
It is believed that water levels have now peaked.
The group has also been closely monitoring the Biel Water, where water levels had been rising. Residents with flood gates were advised to deploy these as a precaution.
Police officers have been out and about in potentially affected areas to advise residents of the situation.
While no major issues have unfolded, close monitoring of the situation will continue at both locations, with teams on standby to assist should the situation change.
