Number of Remembrance Parades on Sunday 12 November which may include some temporary road closures and parking restrictions:
A number of Remembrance Parades will be held across East Lothian on Sunday 12 November. Local residents are advised on the following which may include some temporary road closures and parking restrictions:
- Cockenzie & Port Seton: Starting 10.30am at Marshall Street route then follows: - West Harbour Road - Edinburgh Road - East Lorimer Place to village green and War Memorial. Edinburgh Road – Chalmers Church – Manse Lane – High Street to Old Parish Kirk. Return to High Street - Manse Lane - Edinburgh Road - West Harbour Road - Marshall Street ending approx. 12.55pm
- Dunbar: Starting 10.30am at High Street with route: Bayswell Road, North Road, Marine Road, North Road, Bayswell Road, High Street, Dunbar Parish Church
- Elphinstone: Starting 1.45pm with route: Elphinstone Miners to Main Street for gathering at War memorial, and return.
- Haddington: Starting at 10am at Corn Exchange then route along Market Street, Hardgate, Sidegate, to St Mary’s Church, and then returning via Sidegate, High Street, Court Street, Corn Exchange.
- Longniddry: Starting at 10am at Links Road then via Elcho Road and onto Longniddry Parish Church - parade then returns on same route.
- Musselburgh: In Musselburgh the High Street at the junction with Bridge Street and Dalrymple Loan will be closed for about 30 minutes from 12.30pm.
- North Berwick: Starting 10.15am at Imperial Car Park, High Street, Church Road, Forth Street, Quality Street. Road closure 11.30-12.30: Junction of Quality Street, Kirk Ports and East Road
- Prestonpans: Parade starts 10.30am at Rope walk then follows route via Redburn Road, North Grange Avenue, Ayres Wynd, High Street at War Memorial. Return along High Street, Redburn Road, Rope Walk. Section of High Street, from its junction with New Street to its junction with Ayres Wynd will be temporarily closed.
- Tranent: Parade starts at 10.30am at Tranent Bowling club then follows route via Ormiston Road, High Street, Church Street, Winton Place. Winton Place will be temporarily closed.
