As junction works progress on the A1 next to Queen Margaret University (QMU), drivers should be aware that there will be a lane and slip road closure for a week, starting on Monday 6th February.
The inside lane of the A1 southbound will be closed between 7am and 3.30pm daily from Monday 6th, reopening at 4pm on Monday 13th February. The slip road from the A1 Southbound to the QMU campus will be closed completely during this time, also reopening at 4pm on Monday 13th February.
Access to QMU will be maintained via Whitehill Farm Road and the bridge over the railway line. There will be temporary traffic signals and traffic management in place at the bridge. Diversion signs will also be in place.
Those leaving the campus by car will still be able to access the A1 via the existing on slip road at this time.
