Applications now being accepted.
Edinburgh College is now accepting applications for full-time and part-time courses starting in August 2022.
Edinburgh College’s portfolio of courses continues to celebrate variety, both in the subjects on offer and the range of study modes people can choose from. Their latest campaign – College is for Everyone – demonstrates that whatever your interest, goal in life or commitments, College has something to offer everyone.
Former childcare student Danielle came to Edinburgh College to work towards a career as a Nursery Practitioner. Danielle left high school in her fourth year and before coming to college felt worried about meeting new people. However, she quickly grew in confidence and made friends. Danielle said: “Confidence was a struggle for me but working with new people in groups and knowing everyone was there for the same reason was a great relief.” For young people leaving school, College is a great place for those who are not sure what they want to do or need some support and guidance to reach their goals.
SWAP Access to Languages with Business student Ross Fitzpatrick says completing the course gave his working life renewed focus. Ross said: “I left school with no real qualifications and bounced around from job to job, trying lots of roles without ever finding something I loved.”
Ross went on to explain that he was looking for work-life balance and to make a career out of his hobby of travelling. Ross is now studying languages at the University of St. Andrews. For adult returners like Ross, coming to College can provide them with the opportunity to recognise their dreams and work towards them, with the flexibility required to work and support family in between.
