Access suspended for Ladies Scottish Open tournament
Under current council recess arrangements, East Lothian Council’s Chief Executive, in conjunction with cross-party Councillor representation, has agreed to a request to temporarily suspend public access at the Renaissance Club, Dirleton, for the duration of the Scottish Open Golf Tournament.
The Order will allow the tournament to be played with the land being exempted temporarily from public access rights in the interest of the safety and security of players and the safety of the public.
The Order will temporarily exclude the area of land shown on the plan from public access rights under the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 for the duration of the Ladies Scottish Open- a period of approximately five days.
The Order will take effect from 00.01 hours on 13 August 2020 and will expire at 23.59 hours on 17 August 2020, unless revoked earlier.
