The Children’s Strategic Partnership is consulting on its priorities for supporting children, young people and families in East Lothian as part of its work to develop a new service plan for 20-23.
The Children's Strategic Partnership (CSP) brings together key organisations involved in supporting children, young people and families in the county, provide leadership and direction for services and ensuring a multi-agency approach. It is currently developing its Children and Young People’s Service Plan for 2020-2023 and, having considered information and views from a wide range of audiences, has identified three key priorities for its work. These are:
- Improving children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing
- Supporting parenting and strengthening family resilience
- Reducing inequalities for our children and young people.
The group is now seeking views from communities on these priorities to enable it to progress the development of its service plan.
The three priorities build on work already underway, linking it more closely and providing a sharper focus on key areas. Importantly, all of the priorities are interconnected and interdependent to ensure that resources and services make a real difference for families in East Lothian. They were developed following feedback from children, young people and families.
The survey is available to view online until 7 August. All feedback will then be considered and reflected in the draft Children’s Services and Young People’s Plan, which will be subject to further consultation.
