Follow up support

The Scottish Child Interview Model aims to support recovery and reduce the impact of trauma and re-traumatisation wherever possible.

It is therefore important that, following a SCIM interview, discussions are had with the child, young person and their families regarding any ongoing support they may benefit from.

The SCIM interviewers can signpost families to relevant support services where possible and also link with any existing services such as Education, to request follow-up support.
