Teenage pregnancy
There is lots of useful information about what to do if you think you're pregnant or you want to avoid getting pregnant on the Healthy Respect website.
It will also tell you where:
- drop-in centres are located (young people aged 13-18 can visit these to get free advice about various health issues)
- you can get contraceptive advice
- you can get pregnancy testing
If you are pregnant and still at school
Please talk to someone you can trust to give you the support you need:
- a teacher
- your guidance teacher
- someone from the council's Integration Team - the contact details are on this page
- someone at a Healthy Respect drop-in centre
They can also help you get in touch with services you need, such as:
- health care
- housing services
- education and training opportunities for young mums
- childcare
- family support
