Residents review
A Residents Review of the way parks were managed was completed in January 2016 and this highlighted that parks matter to the communities they serve.
Having highlighted the important role that our parks play in daily life the review focused on sustainable development of our parks to ensure they meet current needs and contributed to delivering the council plan, particularly in terms of health, strong communities and developing people.
The establishment of Friends Groups is to help steer our development programme and guide the day to day running of our parks is essential to ensure we provide facilities that meet local needs.
