What you can borrow from the Library

Adults 

  • up to 15 items (with a maximum of up to 10 books, 5 audio books, or DVDs)

Young Adults (14-16)

  •  up to 15 items (with a maximum of up to 10 books, 5 audio books, or DVDs)

Teenagers (12-13)

  • up to 15 items (with a maximum of up to 10 books, 5 audio books, or DVDs)

Children under 12

  • up to 15 items (with a maximum of up to 10 books, 5 audio books, or DVDs)

How long you can keep the items

Loans are for three weeks, but can be extended for a further period on request (by phone, online or in person) as long as the items are not reserved by another borrower. Long-term loans for study and holidays can also be arranged.

Your library card also allows you access to:

  • Pressreader (please use 'library or group' login option with your barcode and PIN to sign in)
  • eAudiobooks and eBooks 
  • comics and graphic novels 
  • dyslexia friendly books
  • eMagazines and eNewspapers
  • eResources such as Credo Reference and SCRAN.
  • eTraining such as Transparent Language Learning, Theory Test Pro, Universal Class, Go Citizen, and much more.
  • inter-library loans
  • language courses (from beginner to advanced)
  • large print books 
  • computers with internet, printing and scanning access
  • ordnance survey maps 1:50000 ( for all of the UK)
  • WIFI
