Contact Centre new phone system- essential work on 30 and 31 July

East Lothian Council’s Contact Centre is upgrading its telephony system. This will increase our call handling capabilities and provide a more efficient and streamlined service for our customers.

We will roll out the new system to call handling staff on 30 and 31 July. We aim to minimise disruption as much as we can but please be aware there may be instances of longer waits than normal and the potential for calls dropping out. The Contact Centre phone systems extends to departments such as Council Tax, Property Maintenance as well as Waste Services, Social Work and many others. If your call is not urgent you may choose to wait until 1 August, after the work is carried out, or use of any of our online systems.
