East Lothian Council is looking forward to the establishment of a new primary school. Letham Mains Primary School (LMPS) will be built to serve the catchment area for the new houses being built as part of the Letham Mains development in Haddington.
The new school building will open for pupils in August 2020. We are pleased to announce that Morrison Construction, who are already working within East Lothian on other school projects, have won the tender to build LMPS and have already started on site.
Until the new school building is open, LMPS will be established initially at Haddington Primary School under a temporary "hosting arrangement" to accommodate primary aged pupils from the new housing developments at Letham Mains.
The “hosting arrangement” will start once pupils move into the Letham Mains catchment area.
