Tenant scrutiny
The aim of tenant scrutiny is to involve tenants in the Council’s Community Housing and Property Maintenance Service and to create continuous improvement. Involving tenants in our scrutiny work helps us as a landlord to determine how services can be targeted where they are most needed and can lead to services which are better value for money. The Scottish Housing Regulator requires landlords to carry out scrutiny involving tenants in the process. To date we have carried out scrutiny activities in: our repairs service, signing-up new tenants, communication and estate inspections.
We are looking for more tenants to get involved in scrutiny, so if you are interested, please telephone us on 0800 413 721 or email: tenantconsultation@eastlothian.gov.uk or you can contact East Lothian Tenants and Residents Panel on 0131 665 9304, email tenantspanel@eltrp.co.uk
Training will be provided and support is available from our Scrutiny Group.
