Major developments across East Lothian

With the county’s rapidly growing population and ever-increasing demand for housing it’s no surprise there are many housing developments underway. But East Lothian Council is not just looking at housing. We’re looking at the whole picture, aiming to work with the Government and key agencies to prioritise infrastructure-provision in all developments. With ambitious plans to create more well-connected communities and make progress towards these being carbon neutral.

Creating a lasting legacy for generations to come

Economic development is hugely important too, particularly as we deal with the after-effects of the pandemic and the UK’s exit from the European Union. There are a number of plans and potential sites that will contribute to increasing business and employment opportunities for our residents - not just now but over the next few decades.
