A view of the Victorian front of East Linton Primary School with the green park in front. A rainbow is on the right hand side.

East Linton Primary School sits in the heart of village. The existing building is over 140 years old and has been extended several times over the years. Condition surveys show that it is requires significant upgrade and further expansion to provide a high-quality space for learning and accommodate the school population.

At a Council meeting on 14 December a decision was made to progress proposals for a new replacement school on the existing site and neighbouring land. This process is at an early stage; further feasibility and technical works are needed.

We're keen to hear the views of the East Linton community on our early proposals and to find out

  • your priorities to help us create a new primary school that is fit for modern learning
  • your views on potential layouts that have been designed
  • your perspectives on the open green space and built facilities at War Memorial Park
  • your thoughts on options for community facilities and wider benefits

This public consultation is our first step however further consultation and engagement will take place as we move forward.

We hope that you find the information on these pages useful and share your views with us.
