Opening Times

Winter Opening Hours – Community Libraries – Monday 25 November 2024 to Friday 28 February 2025

To avoid short-notice closures and provide a consistent level of service opening hours in our community libraries in East Linton, Gullane, Longniddry, Ormiston and Port Seton will reduce to 1 day per week along with the current Saturday opening pattern from Monday 25 November 2024 until Friday 28 February 2025.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Opening Times from 25 November 2024

Friday 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm

Alternate Saturdays beginning 23 November 2024 10am to 1pm

Open Saturday 23 November  7 and 21 December 2024 and 4 January 2025

Home library service

Our Home Library Service is for anyone who is elderly or who needs to stay inside for health reasons.  If you are aware of anyone who might benefit from this service please email libraries@eastlothian.gov.uk identifying who the person is who needs assistance with contact details for them.

Regular Events
  • A Brew and A Blether - every Friday from 2pm to 4pm. No need to book.
  • Bookbug Sessions ( under 5's) - every Friday at 10:30am to 11:00am. No need to book.
  • Book Group - first Friday of the month 2:15pm to 3:30pm.
  • Breastfeeding Support Group - every Friday at 11am - 12pm.
  • Knit 'n' Natter - every Friday at 2:30pm to 3.30pm.
  • Lego Club - every Saturday from 11am to 12pm. No need to book. Under 8's must be accompanied by an adult. 
  • Playjam Freeplay Session - every Friday 2:30pm to 4pm.
