East Lothian Children’s Strategic Partnership (CSP)

The East Lothian Children’s Strategic Partnership (CSP) is a multi-agency group dedicated to safeguarding, supporting, and promoting the wellbeing of all children and young people in East Lothian. Bringing together key partners, including the council, NHS Lothian, Police Scotland, and third-sector organisations such as the Volunteer Centre East Lothian (VCEL), the CSP works to address challenges faced by children and families, ensuring they receive the right support at the earliest opportunity.

It plays a key role in addressing local issues, such as mental health, family support, and poverty, and continues to adapt its approach to meet the evolving needs of the community.

Developed collaboratively, the plan aligns with national priorities and emphasises early intervention, partnership working, and a commitment to reducing adversity. It sets out how services across East Lothian will work together to create positive outcomes for children, while ensuring that their voices are heard and considered in decision-making.
